Job Description

Job Title: Struct & Payload Design Engr 3 Job Location: Everett, WA 98204Duration: 12 MonthsShift: 1st shift 8:00 am 4:30 pmClient is seeking an Experienced Payloads Design Engineers to support the Washington Interiors Team.Payloads is seeking candidates with experience in the following areas:- Experience with engineering processes and tools; including CSDT, CATIA, ENOVIA, PDM, and associated release processes.- Experience with aircraft cabin and cargo engineering products and designs- Experience with engineering support within a production system- Experience with direct engagement working with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines- Experience supporting the validation of compliance to regulatory requirements- Experience working with regulators- Experience with Design for manufacturing- Experience with Aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design, integration, and/or certification- Experience working in a cross-functional team.Position Responsibilities:- Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.- Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.- Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.- Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.- Works under general supervision.Education:- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences). 5 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Basic understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes - Client experience is a plus- 2 years of experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity (including: development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.).- Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinkingAbility to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
