Struct & Payload Design Engr 4

This job is with Encode, Inc a fully owned subsidiary of Lancesoft Position Responsibilities: • Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. • Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. • Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. • Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. • Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. • Works under minimal direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. • 10+ years of relevant structural design experience • 8+ years experience designing primary structure, subsystems, or weapons in the Aerospace Industry • Experience with Siemens NX / TeamCenter and familiarity reading 2D Drawings Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • 5+ years structural design experience on military aircraft EEO Employer LanceSoft is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and an equal opportunity employer.
