Description

Build your future with impactful engineering work across the Twin Cities—field visits, real estate building evaluations, HOA reserve studies, and light structural design with a high-autonomy, client-facing culture. Structural / Building Inspection Engineer is a home-based opportunity in Edina, MN where you’ll balance on-site inspections with report writing and calculations.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer position include:

2+ years of residential/commercial building evaluation and light structural design experience; 100% Remote
Minnesota PE license highly preferred; open to reciprocity shortly after hire (may consider EIT within 12-18 months of PE).
Perform residential and commercial building inspections throughout the Twin Cities area.
Evaluate building conditions and prepare clear, professional inspection reports.
Support HOA asset planning, reserve studies, and building evaluation projects.
Perform light structural design and calculations for additions, remodels, load-bearing wall removals, beam design, and retaining wall-related work.
Communicate directly with clients, boards, HOAs, and project stakeholders; work independently with strong organization.
Use company reporting and engineering tools to complete reports and documentation; safely access roofs, ladders, attics, crawl spaces, and confined spaces as required.

Salary: $52.00/hr.

Benefits: 3% 401(k) match, health care stipend, mileage reimbursement, cell phone/laptop, and PTO accrued by hours.
