JOB TITLE: Structural & Payload Design Engineer 4 LOCATION: Berkeley, MOPAY RATE: $97.50/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design
Develop, maintain, and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and other engineering methods
Provide product definition to engineering teams, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
Lead performance analysis, system integration, and validation testing to ensure components meet requirements and specifications
Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities; coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program objectives
Support investigation of emerging technologies and develop concepts for future product designs
Work with minimal supervision in a collaborative engineering environment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field
ABET accreditation preferred (U.S.), but not required
10+ years of structural design experience
8+ years designing primary structures, subsystems, or weapons systems within the aerospace industry
Experience with Siemens NX / TeamCenter
Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of structural design experience on military aircraft
