Structural Concrete Estimator - Industrial Division

Overview:

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare industrial and large scale structural concrete estimates for final submittal to clients.
• Coordinate with estimating team on projects with multi-discipline scopes of work.
• Develop and cultivate positive relationships with clients and new clients, subcontractors and vendors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and make site visits.
• Prepare strategy and project approach write-up.
• Self-starting mentality who enjoys a challenge and has the ability to multitask.
• Be able to asses and mitigate project risk while creating a bid proposal.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry as a Concrete Estimator for industrial and commercial.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong oral and writing skills.
• Positive and productive work attitude.
• Ability to provide a detailed, proficient concrete takeoff.
• Ability to be self-starter.
• Possess critical thinking skills with ability to work in complex environments.
• Proficient with HCSS Heavy Bid, Microsoft Office Products, Dropbox or other file sharing software, Bluebeam, and an approved takeoff software package (i.e. AgTek, Earthworks, etc.).
• College degree in construction related field is preferred but not required.
• Current driver’s license.
