Job Description

Structural Design Engineer This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity. Pay Range: $70 130K, depending on experience Summary: Currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer or experienced Metal Building Design professional to join our team designing and manufacturing pre-engineered metal buildings. This role may be in-office, hybrid, or remote, with a strong preference for an in-house candidate. Remote or hybrid candidates must have prior metal building design experience and be proficient with MBS (Metal Building Software). The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible for future licensure. Responsibilities: Design and engineer pre-engineered metal building systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Perform structural analysis and calculations for metal building components and framing systems. Develop and review designs using MBS (Metal Building Software). Prepare and review engineering drawings, design packages, and technical documentation. Collaborate with drafting, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs. Review customer specifications, loads, and project requirements. Support manufacturing and construction teams with engineering clarifications and revisions as needed. Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and performance standards. Requirements: Engineering Candidates Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field PE license or ability to obtain PE licensure in the future Experience with metal building systems preferred Proficiency with MBS (Metal Building Software) required for remote or hybrid candidates Strong understanding of structural codes and engineering principles Design Technician Candidates (Non-Engineering) Minimum 3+ years of metal building design experience Demonstrated experience using MBS (Metal Building Software) Strong understanding of metal building systems and design practices Engineering degree and PE licensure not required for this track For more information, please Apply, and/or email a copy of your resume to Beka Cassidyat: BCassidy@selectek.net
