Job Description

Structural Design EngineerPay Range:
  • $75 - 90K, depending on experience 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of building materials using various building codes and standards (i.e. IBC, IEBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, UFC).*
  • Participate in field surveys and document existing conditions.*
  • Communicate and coordinate with architects and engineers of other disciplines.*
  • Review and evaluate existing building structural systems.*
  • Prepare drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.*
  • Write technical reports.*
  • Review construction submittals, participate in construction observation, and respond to contractor inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.CE), Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (B.AE), or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (B.S.AE), or equivalent, with coursework specialized towards structural engineering*
  • Registered EIT or in pursuit of EIT license*
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills*
  • Good organizational and team skills*
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment*
  • Willingness to be challenged and develop new skills
Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree*
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit*
  • Experience with analysis software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, and/or RAM Concept
