Job Description

NELSON is currently looking for a Structural Engineer with 5-15 plus years’ experience to join their team supporting multi-discipline projects.

·         Capable of managing and directing junior engineers and designers

·         Produce a complete design package with minimum oversight

·         Develop detailed plans and drawings per project specifications.

·         Industrial and Offshore design experience required

·         Field experiences a plus

·         Perform computer aided design.

·         Create calculations, checking and other design tasks.

Requirements

  •       BS Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis from an accredited university MS degree is desirable.
  •       Professional Engineer License or Engineer in Training Certificate a plus5-15 plus years of experience in industrial, oil & gas and/or marine structures.
  •       Knowledge of U.S. Codes and standards required.Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and direction.
  •       Software (MS Office, Teams, structural analysis programs), Risa/SACS preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProfessional and detail oriented
