Overview
Job Description
- Researches, writes, formats, and edits documents including reports and presentations
- Provides general administrative support
- Supports the development of test plans, procedures, and reports
- Attends meetings to capture action items and minutes
- Supports full-time technical writers and copywriters with approved assignments
- Supports proposals as needed
- Must be enrolled at Utah State University (USU) with at least three (3) semesters remaining in your education
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow up and close the loop
- Ability to be proactive and work effectively with little direct supervision
- Ability to work productively alone and in a team
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to understand (or research when needed) technical and engineering concepts, and document them clearly
- Ability to assess deadlines, set individual priorities, and maintain flexibility when priorities shift unexpectedly
- Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Currently pursuing a degree in technical writing or a related field
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
