Position Summary
The Tulane Volleyball Youth Camp Counselor is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for campers. Counselors will assist with instruction, supervise daily camp activities, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and serve as positive role models for young athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of campers throughout all camp activities.
- Assist coaches with teaching fundamentals.
- Lead and participate in drills, games, and recreational activities.
- Encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, confidence, and respect among campers.
- Provide age-appropriate instruction and support to players of varying skill levels.
- Maintain attendance records and monitor camper behavior.
- Assist with equipment setup, organization, and cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with camp staff, coaches, parents, and campers.
- Enforce camp rules, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Help create a fun, inclusive, and positive camp experience for all participants.
