This position is responsible for performing Submerged Arc Welding on production and fabricated components while maintaining strict quality, safety, and inspection standards.This is a skilled welding position requiring 3–5 years of Sub-Arc welding experience. Candidates must be capable of producing welds that meet X-ray inspection requirements and must successfully pass a Sub-Arc X-Ray weld test before hire.Required Experience & Skills• 3–5 years of Sub-Arc welding experience required• Strong knowledge of Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) processes and procedures• Ability to successfully pass a Sub-Arc X-Ray weld test• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications• Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality requirements• Ability to identify weld defects and complete corrective work when required• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship• Knowledge of industrial welding safety practices• Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule• Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication teamEssential Duties & Responsibilities• Perform Submerged Arc Welding on production and fabricated components• Set up and operate Sub-Arc welding equipment according to job requirements• Read and follow blueprints, welding specifications, work instructions, and procedures• Prepare materials and components for welding operations• Maintain proper welding parameters throughout the welding process• Produce consistent welds capable of meeting required X-ray inspection standards• Monitor weld quality throughout production• Inspect completed welds for visible defects and workmanship concerns• Identify and correct welding defects as required• Communicate quality, equipment, or production concerns to supervisors• Maintain welding equipment and surrounding work areas in clean and safe condition• Follow all company welding, quality, and workplace safety procedures• Perform additional welding and fabrication duties as assignedWeld Test RequirementsQualified candidates must successfully complete a:• Sub-Arc Welding Test• X-Ray Inspection• Weld must meet required quality and inspection standardsCandidates who cannot successfully meet the X-ray requirements will not qualify for this position.Preferred Qualifications• Extensive Submerged Arc Welding experience• Heavy industrial fabrication experience• Previous experience producing X-ray quality welds• Strong blueprint and welding specification interpretation skills• Experience working with large fabricated components• Experience troubleshooting Sub-Arc welding equipment and weld-quality issues• Previous work in code-quality or inspection-intensive fabrication environmentsPhysical Requirements• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, positioning, and repetitive physical activity• Ability to safely operate Sub-Arc welding and fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE• Comfortable working around heavy steel, welding equipment, heat, sparks, fumes, and industrial machinery• Ability to perform physically demanding fabrication work throughout a 10-hour shiftWork Environment• Heavy industrial welding and fabrication environment• Regular operation of Submerged Arc Welding equipment• Hands-on work involving fabricated steel components and industrial welding machinery• Quality-intensive environment requiring welds to meet X-ray inspection standards• Strong emphasis on welding procedures, safety, accuracy, and consistent workmanshipWhy You'll Want This Opportunity• Competitive pay of $32.00–$34.00/hour, based on experience• Four-day Monday–Thursday workweek• Consistent 10-hour day shifts• High-priority opportunity with a premier client• Specialized Submerged Arc Welding work• Opportunity to utilize advanced X-ray quality welding skills• Excellent opportunity for experienced Sub-Arc Welders looking for high-level industrial fabrication workReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel – Tulsa Skilled Division1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday–Friday | 8 AM – 4 PM
