Many Point Scout Camp seeks a Business/Office Manager

Are you looking for a summer job working with youth in our community? Many Point Scout Camp is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our camp team. This position will manage Camp finances including the trading post deposits with the supervision of the Camp Director, receive and document camp invoices, track camp income, perform weekly audit of unit accounts and manage unit bills, advise staff during unit check out, prepare weekly bank run, etc. This camp primarily serves youth ages 11-17. Meals and Housing for the summer provided.

Average wage is $4,700 - $4,900 for the summer season depending on previous experience and position. Housing and meals provided for camp season. Benefits include training in several program areas, personal leadership development, use of program equipment, free parking, great co-workers, scholarship opportunities, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of youth. Northern Star Scouting also offers a Sick and Safe Time program for all part-time employees. College aged staff may receive up to a $1,500 scholarship for the completion of a full summer season.

The job may be tailored as an internship if needed; it is your responsibility to determine if academic credit is available within your academic department and degree program.

Qualifications

Must be age 18 or older (prior to start of camp)
Strong communication skills are required
Experience working directly with youth in the classroom, outdoor recreation sites, summer sites, summer youth camp, or other youth programs preferred
Experience working with diverse populations between ages of 10 - 18 is desired
Experience in Scouting NOT required

The summer camp season goes from June 7th - August 17th, with opportunities for additional work through Sept 3. Some positions may required addition pre-camp training (EX: lifeguarding, NRA, camp leadership). We are seeking staff who are available to work weekends and weekdays with a weekly day off.
