We are seeking passionate, high-energy, and dynamic individuals to join our team as a STEM Summer Camp Instructor and STEAM teacher. As a STEM Summer Camp Instructor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students on a variety of STEM and coding topics. This is a seasonal position during our Summer Camp Program at Code Ninjas. Continued employment is possible at the conclusion of the summer program. Training will begin in April/May. Positions available in Ft. Walton Beach, Pensacola and Gulf Breeze
Camps Topics to Include, but not limited to:
Minecraft: Modding, coding, MCreator and/or Redstone
Roblox and/or Roblox Studio
Game Design in Scratch and/or Microsoft MakeCode Arcade-Block-based coding and Java
Machine Learning
LEGO Robotics
YouTube-video editing/Canva
Digital Art/AI Image Prompting
Knowledge, Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or teaching in a camp, classroom, or informal educational setting.
Strong knowledge of STEM concepts and principles, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up basic concepts.
Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in fast paced environments where requirements can change frequently.
Ability to maintain order and discipline within a group setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate campers of varying ages, learning styles, personalities, and backgrounds.
CPR and First Aid knowledge or certification (preferred but not required).
Must pass a background check.
We work with a number of neurodivergent children, patience and experience with working with learning differences is a plus.
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
