Summer Intern - Commercial/Social Media Team

We are seeking a motivated and creative Commercial/Social Media Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of marketing, communications, and social media management while contributing to our organization's goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create engaging content for social media posts across various platforms, as well as blogs, and newsletters that align with our brand voice and objectives. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).  Assist our commercial team with customer analysis and strategic projects.

• Support the planning and execution of online campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop innovative ideas for content and outreach.
• Help maintain and update the company’s website and employee SharePoint page.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on communication strategies.

• Market research for specific regions where we operate, e.g. Salt Lake City, N. California, Denver and Dallas.
• CRM – assist in cleaning up database; and adding customer contacts and opportunities.
• Industrial Development – identify sites that we can promote to customers to land new production facilities.
• Support strategic growth projects. 
• Research to support marketing initiatives and strategic growth projects.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices.

- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

- A passion for storytelling and engaging with audiences.
