Your Mission
As a Sunday School Teacher (Infant/Toddler Class), you’ll make a difference by helping our mission come to life for the youngest families in our community. This purpose-driven role exists to create a secure, loving space where infants and toddlers can begin to experience Jesus’ love while parents engage in worship.Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare the room, materials, and simple, age-appropriate Bible activities.
- Supervise children closely while providing care (comforting, diapering, snacks as needed).
- Share biblical truth through short stories, songs, prayer, and play.
- Follow child safety, sanitation, and check-in/check-out procedures.
- Communicate respectfully with parents and ministry leadership.
- Clean, sanitize, and reset the classroom after service.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with children; basic infant/toddler development knowledge.
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain.
- Dependable, patient, trustworthy; supports East Gate Church’s mission.

A Sunday Snapshot
You arrive at 9:00AM to open the Infant/Toddler room, tidy the space, set out toys and books, and take a moment to pray for the children and their families. As check-in begins, you welcome parents warmly, learn any feeding or allergy notes, and help little ones settle in.During service, the morning flows between gentle routines and joyful moments—simple worship music, a short Bible point, and lots of guided play. You stay attentive to needs and transitions, and you loop in ministry leadership if a parent should be contacted.At pick-up, you verify release, share a bright moment from the morning, and then finish by sanitizing and resetting the classroom so the next Sunday starts strong.
