Your Role on Our Team:

The Inventory Control Supervisor will assist the organization with inventory accuracy and tracking, item transition, allocation, demand planning and scheduling. The individual in this position will be responsible for supervising people conducting inventory functions including physical inventory, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, SKU relocation with utilizing a WMS, RF scanning and an ERP system. This position will help drive inventory accuracy, picking accuracy and efficiency by leading their team to manage the company's inventory effectively.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

Empowered Leader:

  • Leads a team to manage the day-to-day operations and activities of facilities and programs effectively and efficiently in an assigned area.
  • Solicits feedback from Team Leads and Associate Supervisor related to performance and takes corrective action when needed.
  • Leads in the recruitment, hiring, promoting, and terminating processes as needed.
  • Works with manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Sets schedules according to workload
  • Serves as a back-up in the absence of the Manager

Candid:

  • Fosters a high degree of morale among associates, including providing feedback, recognition, and rewards.
  • Conducts or delegates or shift start-up meetings; communicates information related to culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility/HR updates to keep team members informed
  • Leads the performance review process and enters ratings in PEAK

Speed, Agility, Urgency:

  • Provides timely, ongoing communication ensuring the appropriate dissemination of information to team leads and associates within the area.
  • Responsible for creating overall shift schedules and serving as back up for the Manager.
  • Final payroll approver in Kronos

Always Improving:

  • Identifies measures that can improve various warehouse processes without the additional financial burden.
  • Develops all employees to become a valuable part of the team to ensure their skills are at par with warehouse standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for identifying and growing future team leaders within Milwaukee Tool.
  • Provides formal and informal feedback on an ongoing basis and leads the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.
  • Recommends employee corrective actions including recommendations for termination

  • Establishes operational strategy and related activities to facilitate consistent area goal achievement.
  • Maintains and enforces a clean and safe working environment.
  • Drives safety and culture and holds team members accountable for compliance including but not limited to adhering to safety incident reporting/protocols.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Detail-oriented, analytical with strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient at using a computer; above average skill in using web-based and Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel

  • Must have ability to comprehend procedures, systems and data.

  • Solid understanding of inventory control functions and principles and how they impact processing orders and company financial targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and changing priorities simultaneously.

  • Self-starter with initiative. Must be able to execute tasks with minimal direct supervision.

  • Bachelors of Business Administration or equivalent degree preferred, will accept strong work experience in place of a degree

  • Experience working in inventory systems such as WMS systems, RF scan guns and ERP systems

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing

  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes
  • Standing for long periods of time, as well as repetitive motion
  • Operate manual pallet jacks (Operation of other equipment is a plus!)
  • Able to work in various temperature conditions
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 70lbs
