Job Description

BUILD HOMES. CREATE COMMUNITY. BUILD YOUR CAREER.

Ironcore Construction is growing—and we’re looking for a Multifamily Construction Superintendent who wants more than just another project.

We’re looking for a builder, problem-solver, and leader who takes ownership, brings teams together, and wants to help deliver multifamily communities that make a lasting impact across California.

If you know multifamily construction and want the opportunity to work alongside an experienced construction leadership team while taking real ownership of your projects, we want to meet you.

WHO IS IRONCORE?

Ironcore Construction is a California general contractor and full-service construction and development company with a strong specialization in multifamily and affordable housing.

Throughout their careers, members of the Ironcore team have completed 150+ major construction, renovation, addition, and conversion projects representing more than $1.5 billion in construction value.

Our mission goes beyond constructing buildings. We strive to be a leader in our industry, deliver exceptional service to our clients, and add value to communities through our commitment to affordable housing.

Our culture is built around six core values:

Integrity | Vision | People | Safety | Innovation | Continuous Improvement

At Ironcore, our philosophy is simple:

Building Homes. Creating Community.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Multifamily Construction Superintendent, you’ll take a leadership role in the successful delivery of multifamily construction projects from planning through completion.

You'll partner directly with Project Executives, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to drive the budget, schedule, quality, safety, and overall success of your projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants ownership and accountability—not simply another seat at the table.

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

  • Lead all daily on-site construction activities for multifamily residential projects.
  • Drive the project schedule and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure construction conforms to project plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
  • Conduct daily site inspections focused on safety, quality, cleanliness, and progress.
  • Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and safety briefings.
  • Enforce Ironcore safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Partner with Project Managers to coordinate field and office operations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, RFIs, change-order documentation, and other required field records.
  • Monitor project costs and support effective budget and cost controls.
  • Identify construction conflicts and field issues early and drive them toward resolution.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, quality, safety, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead punch-list completion and project closeout.
  • Develop and mentor Assistant Superintendents and other field team members.
  • Set the tone for an accountable, collaborative, organized, and safety-first jobsite.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5–15 years of Superintendent experience in multifamily construction.
  • Proven experience delivering ground-up multifamily construction projects.
  • Strong experience with wood-frame and podium-style construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, sequencing, building codes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors and field teams while maintaining aggressive project schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience is a plus.
  • A leadership mentality built around accountability, urgency, teamwork, and results.
