As the company continues to grow its design-build operations, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations and oversee the successful execution of complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Job Details

Responsibilities:Lead all on-site construction activities for design-build commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through project completionManage daily field operations including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, logistics, quality control, and site safetyCollaborate closely with project managers, preconstruction teams, architects, engineers, and owners throughout the design-build processDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achievedProactively identify and resolve field issues, design conflicts, and constructability challengesConduct regular site meetings with subcontractors, ownership teams, and project stakeholdersEnsure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectationsCoordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activitiesMaintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and field logsMonitor manpower, productivity, equipment usage, and subcontractor performanceFoster a positive jobsite culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and communicationSupport and mentor assistant superintendents and field personnel as needed

Qualifications:7+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience, preferably within design-build project delivery environmentsProven experience leading ground-up and/or large-scale renovation commercial projectsStrong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, building systems, and field coordinationExperience working on projects within multifamily, healthcare, education, industrial, office, hospitality, or mixed-use markets preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules in fast-paced environmentsProficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platformsStrong commitment to jobsite safety and quality controlOSHA 30 certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications:Experience working for a commercial general contractor on negotiated or design-build projectsKnowledge of lean construction principles and collaborative project delivery methodsAbility to lead occupied renovation or phased construction projects with minimal disruption to operationsExperience mentoring junior field staff and developing project teamsDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus
