Job Description
We are hiring a Superintendent to lead field operations on mid-sized projects across multiple different project sectors for a reputable general contractor that performs work in the Chicagoland suburbs.
Client Details
Our Illinois-based general contracting team delivers large-scale commercial, retail, healthcare, light industrial and public projects across the metro area. With decades of stability, strong client relationships, and a fully local project list, we're expanding our field leadership across multiple divisions.
Description
- Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
- Oversee subcontractors, trade sequencing, and conflict resolution.
- Drive the project schedule, create look-aheads, and maintain updates in Procore.
- Conduct safety walks, QA/QC reviews, and site logistics planning.
- Coordinate inspections, RFIs, material handling, and site development tasks.
- Serve as primary field liaison to project managers and owners.
Profile
- 5+ years of superintendent experience with a general contractor.
- Ground Up experience is a MUST
- Strong proficiency with Procore or other digital field documentation.
- Solid understanding of critical-path scheduling and field coordination.
- Strong subcontractor management skills and communication abilities.
- Experience with Ground Up projects ranging from $3M - $8M+
- Diverse project portfolio (i.e. Retail, Healthcare, Commercial, Public, Park Projects, etc)
