General Contractor SuperintendentThis outstanding General Contractor has been building in and helping to develop Minnesota for over a century. They will continue to grow with a focus on clients and putting their employees first.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will be responsible for:Leading all day-to-day field operations for healthcare construction projects from groundbreaking through final turnover
Overseeing and coordinating all subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and self-perform crews to ensure project milestones are achieved
Developing and maintaining short-term look-ahead schedules and actively monitoring project progress against the master schedule
Ensuring all construction activities are performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, contract documents, and applicable codes
Enforcing company safety policies and OSHA requirements while fostering a culture of safety on-siteConducting daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections to maintain a safe work environment
Managing quality control processes and verifying that all work meets healthcare construction standards and owner expectations
Coordinating inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities with authorities having jurisdiction and project stakeholders
Working closely with project management teams to identify and resolve schedule, budget, and constructability challenges
Leading subcontractor coordination meetings and ensuring timely completion of project activities
Reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to identify potential issues before they impact construction
Collaborating with architects, engineers, consultants, owners, and healthcare facility representatives throughout the project lifecycle
Monitoring labor production, manpower levels, and equipment utilization to maximize project efficiency
Managing procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring timely availability to support construction activities
Identifying and proactively resolving field conflicts, design discrepancies, and unforeseen site conditions
Coordinating installation of complex healthcare systems, including MEP infrastructure, medical gases, nurse call systems, and specialty equipment
Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM), and project-specific healthcare requirements
Maintaining accurate daily reports, progress documentation, safety records, and project logs
Supporting cost control efforts through effective planning, productivity management, and resource allocation
Verifying subcontractor work is completed according to project requirements and approved quality standards
Coordinating owner-furnished equipment deliveries and installation activities
Assisting with project phasing, shutdowns, tie-ins, and occupancy planning for active healthcare facilities
Facilitating punch list completion and ensuring timely project closeout and turnover documentation
Mentoring, training, and developing field personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, healthcare administrators, trade partners, and project stakeholders

Hospital, MOB, or other Healthcare projects $15M+Self-perform experience preferred
Complete understanding of the construction process
Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
Self-motivatedProficient in Microsoft Office applications
Willing to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to complete projects on time
Experience managing all phases of healthcare construction from sitework through project closeout
Proven track record of delivering healthcare projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
Strong knowledge of healthcare codes, regulations, and accreditation requirements including Joint Commission standards
Experience working in active healthcare environments with minimal disruption to patients, staff, and operations
Ability to develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules
Expertise in coordinating and supervising subcontractors, field personnel, and self-perform crews
Strong understanding of infection control risk assessments (ICRA) and interim life safety measures (ILSM)What's on OfferThe superintendent will be offered:$100,000 - $130,000 base salary dependent on experience$600 car allowance or company vehicle
