Superintendent for Local Kansas City General Contractor

A full-service general contracting firm located just outside of Kansas City. They focus primarily on ground up multifamily and commercial projects, up to $40M in value. They are looking for a strong Superintendent to run local projects. No travel outside of the Greater Kansas City area.

Job Description

Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities for multifamily projects. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to ensure project milestones are met. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications. Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to site safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and address any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, and clients to provide updates and resolve challenges. Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs and progress reports. Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and materials on-site.

The Successful Applicant

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, is preferred but not required. 5+ years of field experience as a Superintendent. Experience with ground up, multifamily projects is required. A proven track record in managing construction projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes. Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges effectively. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools. A focus on delivering high-quality results while staying on schedule.
