We are currently looking for an experienced Superintendent with a civil or mechanical background to join our team. Our dynamic team provides project management, engineering, procurement, and construction management services to clients across North America. We are seeking a strong field leader who can provide hands-on project support, oversee construction activities, and work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and clients to successfully deliver industrial projects.
The Superintendent will provide field leadership and construction oversight for industrial projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in civil or mechanical construction, with the ability to lead field teams, coordinate contractors, identify issues, and support successful project execution in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee field execution activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within quality expectations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Construction Managers, and client representatives to support project objectives.
- Review project drawings, specifications, work packages, and construction documentation.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and schedule performance.
- Identify potential construction challenges and provide practical solutions.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Support planning, scheduling, and execution of construction activities.
- Participate in project meetings, progress reporting, and site coordination.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in the field.
- Support commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities as required.
- Mentor and provide leadership to field personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in industrial construction, mining, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
- Superintendent, Construction Lead, General Foreman, or similar field leadership experience.
- Civil or mechanical construction background required.
- Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and field crews.
- Strong understanding of construction execution, planning, and field coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Experience supporting mining, industrial, or large capital projects is considered an asset.
