Job Description
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and supervise all field construction activities.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, technical documents, and QC/Safety standards.

- Ability to instruct others in construction methods, quality requirements, safety procedures, and compliance expectations.
- Knowledge of government construction, federal safety requirements, and USACE guidelines.
- Knowledge of RMS (Resident Management System) preferred/required depending on project.
- Ability to manage workers, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors.
- Coordinate and supervise all onsite construction activities.
- Manage jobsite workflow, labor, materials, equipment, and schedules.
- Conduct daily jobsite meetings, coordinate subcontractors, and resolve construction problems.
- Track labor and materials, support budgeting, and prepare cost estimates.
- Maintain an organized jobsite and field office.
- Review and enforce contract drawings, specifications, and building codes.
- Perform daily field inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain as‑built drawings and ensure accurate project closeout documentation.
- Develop, implement, and enforce the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Ensure full compliance with EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain a deficiency tracking system.
- Provide site safety orientations and maintain training documentation.
- Investigate accidents, near‑misses, incidents, and hazards.
- Attend and conduct safety meetings, tailgate talks, pre-construction and preparatory sessions.
- Ensure all personnel, including subcontractors and visitors, adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
- Maintain safety reference materials onsite and ensure site-specific plans remain current.
- Manage the three phases of QC (Preparatory, Initial, Follow‑Up).
- Conduct daily QC inspections ensuring compliance with all plans, specs, and submittals.
- Review and approve submittals, samples, materials, and testing requirements.
- Coordinate testing agencies, review test results, and maintain QC documentation.
- Maintain project as-builts and oversee QC tracking logs and reporting.
- Lead weekly QC, safety, and coordination meetings.
- Work with government inspectors and accompany them during official inspections.
- Identify quality deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and enforce compliance.
- Maintain and implement the Construction Quality Control Plan (CQCP).
- Prepare daily reports, meeting minutes, inspection logs, deficiency reports, accident reports, and QC documentation.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and government representatives.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Support project closeout, including final punch lists and turnover packages.
- Perform additional assignments as required by the Project Manager.
- 7-10 years of construction experience; federal project experience strongly preferred.
- Experience fulfilling Superintendent, SSHO, or QCM roles (multiple roles preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
- Ability to gain access to federal installations.
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification (required).
- EM 385‑1‑1 40‑hour SSHO certification (required).
- USACE CQM Certification (required).
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (required).
- RMS experience preferred/required depending on agency.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card.
- Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- RMS (Resident Management System).
- Computer-based project management/reporting tools.
- Frequently: standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting up to 100+ lbs, pushing/pulling.
- Occasionally: crawling, confined space entry.
- Ability to wear PPE at all times onsite.
