THIS IS AN Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Supervisor POSITION. ACCEPTABLE LICENSURES ARE LMSW, LLP, or LPC with the State of Michigan. Candidates must have ONE of the listed licensures to be considered (full licenses only). The Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Supervisor is responsible for all administrative and clinical functioning of the IDD program. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with a minimum of one late evening shift per week. Based on the needs of the clients and the program, additional hours are expected including evenings and weekends. As an Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following: Provide standard and clinical supervision to staff members utilizing a variety of supervisory methodologies. Manage and process crisis situations with program staff and clients. Maintain electronic medical record training and be able to train new staff, and maintain ability to assist staff with questions and concerns. Review all treatment records and reports pertaining to the treatment and the rendering of services to clients and provide direction for documentation improvement. Managing staff and department within span of control, including but not limited to: making recommendations with particular weight as to the interviewing, selecting, hiring, and termination of staff; setting and adjusting hours of work; on-boarding and training staff; directing work and assignments; appraising and evaluation of staff work performance; handling of staff complaints and grievances; and disciplining employees. Responsible for participating in monthly Total Quality Management Committee meeting, actively implement the agency’s quality improvement initiatives within their assigned areas, monitor the implementation and adherence to the established quality improvement initiatives, activities and policies. Supervise case program consultations with staff. Maintain consistent and organized systems to ensure Habilitation Waiver and Children’s Waiver, as well as other funding source’s program requirements are followed as mandated. Maintain consistent and organized systems to ensure staff are maintaining their credentials and training hours. Maintain at minimum monthly supervision with staff. Attend meetings, conferences and trainings in the community and report out any pertinent information to leadership and staff. Assist clinical staff to assess and utilize the data from the electronic medical record reports on waivers, productivity and other areas of the I/DD program to ensure staff and program maintain program expectations. Assess community needs and assign priorities and direct and provide service when indicated. Assess need for psychiatric, psychological, and case management services and monitor delivery. Work in conjunction with inter-departmental groups to ensure smooth and consistent administration of the program. Completes documentation, referrals, and other required paperwork as required. Conduct regular staff meetings and keep records of such. Provide day-to-day supervision of staff. Assume responsibility for reports required by the agency or funding sources. Act as liaison and participate in agency committees as needed or assigned. Complete 24 hours of program and or position specific training on an annual basis. Work collaboratively with Program Director and Finance to ensure funding requirements and budgetary guidelines are met. Abide by, support, and train staff in Person Centered Planning guidelines. Work in consultation with the Total Quality Management Director to assure that service activities and case records meet or exceed the standards established by JCAHO and other accrediting bodies as necessary. Submission Requirements: Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or counseling with an LMSW, LLP, or LPC licensure from the State of Michigan. - [REQUIRED] Candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience in examining, evaluating, and treating children and adolescents. - [REQUIRED] Candidate must have at least one (1) with intellectual and developmental disability diagnoses and utilizing relevant treatment modalities. - [REQUIRED] Experience in working with Waivers. - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] One year of experience in a supervisory capacity. - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] Experience with electronic medical record - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] Must meet the requirements for Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) within 120 days of hire. Additional requirements are good written and verbal communication skills as well as having the ability to be organized, creative, flexible, and provide, non-judgmental, culturally competent, unconditional care. Individual must be highly organized and demonstrate competence in providing services to consumers of psychiatric and specialized services. Must have a valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record. Must have the ability to appropriately handle crisis situations. Cannot accept candidates who are on student/work visas, and/or require sponsorship to work in the U.S. at this time. State License Requirements: Michigan Additional License Requirements: Must have and retain a valid LMSW, LLP, or LPC in Psychology with the State of Michigan.
