Job Description

Responsibilities: The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking energetic, independent, friendly, responsible and service-oriented applicants for seasonal supervisor positions in the Gift Shop Department. This position starts at $17.00 per hour, but may increase based on experience and availability.

Qualifications: High school diploma required. Candidates must be able to open, close and operate both Gift Shops and Rentals locations, run reports, keep stores stocked and clean, and supervise staff. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly, train staff on all Zoo policies and procedures, and have the ability to handle customer concerns in a professional manner. Must have weekday, weekend, evening and holiday availability. Prior retail and customer service experience, as well as experience on a cash register required. Candidates must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check.
