Job Description
Specific Job Functions:
- Monitor and ensure the stocking of clean linen in housekeeping locker rooms in accordance with established PAR levels.
- Supervise Linen Attendants in the safe and efficient operation of motorized carts used to transport full and empty hampers.
- Record and assist with the weighing and receiving of clean linen hampers delivered by vendors.
- Inspect linen and terry products for quality, cleanliness, condition, and compliance with established standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the linen dock and housekeeping locker rooms.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of Linen Attendants to ensure departmental standards are consistently met.
- Track, document, and report all linen discards, rejects, and rewash items.
- Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Housekeeper as needed.
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of progressive housekeeping or laundry operations supervisory experience preferred
- Previous experience at a large resort hotel preferred.
- Previous experience using a weight scale preferred.
- Professional appearance and demeanor a must.
- GED or high school diploma preferred.
