Supervisor of Radiology Services
Full-Time | Radiology Department -Ira Davenport, Bath, NY
About the Role
We're looking for a strong leader to oversee the daily operations of our Radiology Department. The Supervisor of Radiology Services supports both technical and clerical teams, ensures smooth patient flow, collaborates with radiologists and hospital departments, and helps maintain a high-quality, patient-centered environment.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Operations
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support radiology technical and clerical staff
- Ensure efficient daily workflow and patient scheduling across Radiology
- Collaborate closely with Radiologists and other hospital departments
- Assist with budgeting, equipment evaluations, and supply management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized department
Quality & Compliance
- Support quality improvement, safety practices, and department SOPs
- Assist with resolving operational, technical, or patient flow concerns
- Oversee report distribution, documentation, and imaging record release
- Ensure accurate procedure confirmation and charge entry in system
Technical & Communication
- Provide technical or clerical support as needed
- Promote positive communication with patients, physicians, and staff
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service as needed
- Lead monthly staff meetings and support continuous team development
What You Bring
- Current NYS Radiologic Technologist license
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- 7+ years of radiology experience
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced clinical environment
Additional Requirements
- BLS certification (required within 90 days)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with patient positioning
- Role involves potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
