About the Job:

The PET/CT & Nuclear Medicine Supervisor performs all aspects of PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging while overseeing daily operations of the department. This role ensures high‑quality diagnostic imaging, regulatory compliance, staff training, and a compassionate patient experience.

What You'll Do:

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Review patient medical information and reconcile exam orders with physician requests.
  • Complete required documentation, including consents and questionnaires.
  • Perform PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine studies across oncologic, orthopedic, cardiac, abdominal, pulmonary, and therapeutic applications.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure proper documentation before presenting studies to Radiologists.
  • Assist Radiologists with invasive procedures as needed.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to department protocols.

Supervisory & Operational Responsibilities

  • Support annual budget preparation and generate variance/statistical reports.
  • Prepare QC documentation and ACR accreditation materials.
  • Create and manage staff schedules while maintaining FTE budget compliance.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Coordinate equipment service needs and communicate issues to leadership.
  • Monitor supply usage, replenishment, and expiration dates.
  • Address staff and patient inquiries or concerns.
  • Lead regular staff meetings and ensure technologists are trained on all relevant equipment.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Complete payroll in Kronos accurately and on time.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work on‑site in the PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine departments.
  • Maintain and update imaging protocols in accordance with federal, state, and credentialing guidelines.
  • Lead, motivate, and support team members.
  • Communicate effectively across departments.
  • Use RIS, PACS, and other computer systems proficiently.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
  • Demonstrate compassion, patience, and conflict‑resolution skills in all patient interactions.
  • Safely move patients and use protective equipment appropriately.

Who You Are:

  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved Nuclear Medicine program; eligible for ARRT(N) or CNMT certification.
  • Certified by ARRT(N) or NMTCB; NH Board of Medical Imaging Licensure required.
  • 3-5 years of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT experience.
  • Skilled in MS Office applications and able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree, CT certification (NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT)), and prior supervisory experience.
