Summary:

Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Identifies, resolves and documents issues related to liability.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Responds to requests for security services throughout hospital. • 2. Assists medical staff and nursing with patient control issues. • 3. Investigates and reports incidents & occurrences of injury, accident, loss or damage to property, & general liability. • 4. Conducts daily inspection rounds of the facility, documents security, safety and environmental conditions. • 5. Facilitates repair or correction and follows up on status of ongoing repairs to resolve safety or security problems. • 6. Participates in staff meetings, security consultations, orientation and training related to security within departments throughout the hospital. • 7. Investigates and resolves customer service issues as assigned by the security desk. • 8. Responsible for shift activity and evaluation of subordinates' performance. • 9. Responsible for developing a monthly working schedule for 30 personnel department. • 10. Responsible for weekly payroll for 30 personnel department. • 11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. • 12. Performs other duties as assigned.
