Purpose of Position:

To execute Kalmar Sourcing Supplier Development processes, tools and strategies, to continuously improve suppliers performance and to mitigate risks in terms of Quality, Delivery, Capacity and Sustainability.

What are your key responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier development activities from pre-production to the start of production.
  • Qualify suppliers through onsite assessments, adhering to the Supplier Approval and Risk Management processes.
  • Maintain, improve, and continuously develop supplier quality and delivery performance in line with the Category Strategy.
  • Manage part and process assurance to meet project targets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage the decision process for supplier escalation.
  • Conduct audits to improve underperforming suppliers, aligned with the supplier improvement strategy.
  • Support Category Strategy and suppliers in Continuous Improvement workshops, applying Lean methodology/ Six Sigma and tools.
  • Lead proactive activities with suppliers to improve quality, capability, capacity, and drive cost reductions

What you bring to the role:

Education:

B.Sc. , M.Sc. In --Engineering - quality , process and production or MBA preferred or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in supplier development role ,supplier quality, supply chain management, and/or manufacturing/process engineering within a component manufacturing company, emphasizing a strong quality mindset.
  • Capacity planning and supply chain management.
  • Lead auditor experience of Supplier onboarding process and CI projects
  • Project Management NPD / NPI representing SDE in preparation for SOP
  • Continuous improvement mindset, including change leadership and management with a process focus.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Project Management tools.
  • Experience communicating with diverse cultures and nationalities.

Competencies:

  • Main manufacturing process competence in EV and Electric manufacturing processes and controls
  • Background and competence in Project Management
  • CI and Development initiative with Suppliers - "Hands on" needed activities
  • Strong Problem solving competence
  • Competence in Supplier Quality Assurance (APQP/PPAP or similar).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant ISO standards.

Key Stakeholders:

Teams involved include Sourcing, Supplier Development, R&D, Material Planning, Quality, Aftermarket, and Warranty, as well as external Suppliers.
