Primary Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that suppliers meet the company's quality standards. This includes conducting audits and assessments of supplier facilities, processes, and PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process).

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using quality metrics and data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Maintain detailed records of supplier quality performance, including defect rates and audit results, and prepare reports to communicate findings.

  • Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving supplier quality and performance, including supplier corrective and preventive action requests (SCARs) and participating in supplier failure diagnose.

  • Coordinate MRB (Material Review Board) activities to include RTVs (Return to Vendors) and RMAs (Return Material Authorizations).

  • Develop and deliver training programs for suppliers and internal teams on quality standards and best practices.

  • Perform FAIs (First Article Inspections) as applicable

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel 25 - 30%

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline

  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient in root cause analysis methodology and tools (5-why, 8D, FMEA, etc.)

  • Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming materials

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in HVAC manufacturing

  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or ISO Auditor

  • Demonstrated capability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers

  • Strong understanding in ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 QMS
