Job Description

Job Title: Merchandise Planner 2

Location: Beaverton, OR

Salary Range: $30-38

Introduction

Join our team as a Merchandise Planner 2, where you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain and logistics operations. This is an on-site role at our WHQ, with typical work hours and the benefit of working from home on Fridays. The contract duration is approximately one year.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience minimum required in a merchandise planning role
  • Excel expertise
  • Knowledge of retail math and open-to-buy (OTB) management
  • Experience working in a cross-functional matrix environment
  • General understanding of retail operations
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
  • Experience in merchandise assortment planning, inventory management, and financial forecasting
  • Able to have meaningful cross-functional conversations
  • Ability to work in ambiguity
  • Previous experience presenting in front of senior leadership (good communication skills)
  • Prior financial management experience
  • Proven ability to communicate with higher-ups (stakeholder management)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a direct team of 6-7 members and work hand-in-hand with other teams, including sport planning and in-line planning.
  • Develop detailed seasonal buy plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin and inventory at the style color level.
  • Develop strategies to meet sport financial goals and own open-to-buy bottoms-up forecasts to inform business decisions and in-season optimization actions.
  • Articulate financial plans in seasonal presentations and monthly open-to-buy meetings to gain alignment and accelerate the vision of the sport business goals.
  • Facilitate monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities utilizing advanced data systems and analytics to solve problems and drive results.
