Role: Supply Chain Engineer

Company: NOX METALSLocation: Detroit, MI (Full-Time, In-Person)

Design and run the supply chain behind a fast-scaling metal processing factory. This role owns sourcing, inventory flow, lead times, and supplier execution across aluminum and steel. You’ll work directly with the founder and ops to turn material into shipped product.. fast.

Responsibilities

Source aluminum and steel from mills, distributors, and suppliers
Manage supplier relationships, pricing, lead times, and allocations
Engineer inventory flow: inbound → storage → cut → ship
Optimize inventory levels, turns, and availability
Support quoting with material availability and cost inputs
Track POs, deliveries, and material traceability
Solve supply disruptions and constraints in real time

Requirements

2–6 years in supply chain, sourcing, or operations
Comfortable negotiating with mills and distributors
Strong analytical and systems thinking
Excel / Sheets proficiency
Hands-on, in-person operator mindset
Manufacturing or industrial experience a plus
