Job Title: Supply Chain Intern

Job Summary: The Summer Internship position at our Dodge Manufacturing facility in Greenville, SC will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager. This role will be responsible for projects related to materials management and inventory control. This role will have a specific focus on warehouse reorganization and bulk material management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety - fully support plant Health Safety and Environmental Plan.
- Work closely with Warehouse Supervisor, material handlers and team of other Buyer / Planners.
- Participate in the development planning for warehouse reorganization.
- Support all activities related to warehouse reorganization.
- Work closely with manufacturing team to understand needs and opportunity for efficiency gains.
- Participate in the development and documentation of material movement SOPs.
- Support the identification and disposition of E&O materials.
- Enhance the replenishment process for bulk materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Earning bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related disciplines.
- Earning bachelor's Degree in other area and Supply Chain experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Effective verbal and written skills.
- Independent analysis/decision-making capabilities.
- Verifiable history of customer focus.
- Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Project Management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Lean certification or knowledge a plus.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work in a factory environment (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, some areas may require hearing protection, and hard hat).
- Must be able to work in a team environment with all branches of the plant.
- Must be capable of moving about the facility, including stairs.
- Must be able to either sit or stand in the performance of job duties, often for prolonged periods of time each day.
- The ability to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, is an essential function.
- Must be able to occasionally bend, squat, kneel and reach.
- Some lifting on occasion.
