Job Description

Flex-O-Glass is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Supply Chain Management Intern for the Summer of 2026. This hands-on internship provides an opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in supply chain or related degree study to gain practical experience in plastics manufacturing, supply chain management and carrier arrangements. The intern will work closely with our Supply Chain department to design and implement new opportunities to impact new and emerging markets. This is a great opportunity for someone who has an ambition to grow and develop new supply chain strategies to aid in overall company success.

Responsibilities and learning outcomes:

  • Work alongside our Purchasing team to learn scheduling, purchasing, machine optimization based on current and future demands
  • Engage with cycle counting and understanding proper technique to managing inventory and inventory control procedures to ensure materials availability to meet production scheduling
  • Meet with prospective new packaging materials venders alongside our Purchasing Manager to leverage potential new vender relationships
  • Learn machine scheduling and design new innovative means to drive overall efficiencies and production capabilities.
  • Learn logistics and ability to manage competing priorities and managing freight relations in a manufacturing environment
  • Learn and enhance management of purchasing orders to ensure alignment to company objectives
  • Learn and enhance internal inventory control software

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Ability to utilize strong mathematical skills and other related skills
  • Ability to navigate supply chain systems to alleviate discrepancies and monitor inventory controls
