  • Recommend tooling, processes, and inspection methods to improve supplier performance.

  • Assess supplier manufacturing capabilities and provide technical support to resolve issues.

  • Review manufacturing specifications and provide guidance to ensure proper application.

  • Identify manufacturability concerns on new designs and drive data‑based feedback to design engineering.

  • Recommend product or process improvements to reduce risk and defect potential.

  • Lead and participate in DFX/DFMA activities for new products.

  • Review and approve PPAP submissions for accuracy and completeness.

  • Create and support PFMEA activities with suppliers.

  • Conduct Gage R&R and MSA evaluations with Moog and supplier teams.

  • Analyze process capability data and drive improvement where needed.

  • Support Moog’s Zero-Defect journey using AS9145 methodologies.

  • Travel up to 35%.

To be considered for Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer, here’s what you’ll typically bring with you:

  • Experience machining aerospace materials including carbon steels, stainless steels, carburizing and nitriding steels, and aluminum alloys.

  • Solid understanding of heat treatment, plating, non-destructive testing (NDT), and aerospace painting processes.

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling best practices and principles.

  • Advanced ability to interpret and create engineering drawings, including expert-level application of GD&T.

  • Hands-on experience with inspection methods, tools, and best practices to ensure conformance and quality.

  • Proven experience using root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) to drive corrective actions and improve yield on low-performing or non-conforming processes.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience with NX & Team Center.

  • Previous experience with creating manufacturing processes for aerospace components with gears and / or splines.

  • Knowledge of gears / splines manufacturing processes.
