Job Description
We’re seeking two driven interns with a strong foundation in supply chain operations to join our team. These roles will directly support our global supply planning and transportation functions.
Interns must be enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree and must be able to work in-person at JR286 HQ in Torrance, California for 10 weeks. This is a paid internship.
Ideal Background:
- Majoring in Supply Chain, Logistics Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Operations Management, Business Analytics or similar major
- Intermediate Excel skills – must know how to use pivot tables, lookups, and basic modeling
What You’ll Do as a Supply Planning Intern:
- Identify supply risks tied to seasonality, lead times, and forecast accuracy
- Support planners with data-driven insights for decision-making
- Improve internal communication regarding NPI/Must Win products
- Identify inefficiencies in current planning processes to reduce manual work and errors
What You’ll Do as a Transportation Intern:
- Research into customer freight shipping terms and new software/technology solutions for freight approvals
- Compare Ai applications for the logistics team and create use cases for JR286
- Analyze factory freight on board (FOB) origins, prepaid vs collect parcel freight, and oversize boxes
- Document standard operating procedure (SOP) and create key performance indexes (KPIs) for freight claims filing process
