Hybrid working provides the opportunity to balance time between the office, home, or another remote location. As a minimum, employees are expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.Please note: This is a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement, and the position will still require the ability to work on the manufacturing floor when necessary.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
MAKE AN IMPACT IN SUPPLY CHAINAs a Supply Chain Scheduler for Bird-Johnson, you'll play an integral role in the preparation, planning, and issuing and controlling of production schedules along with coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow for approved materials is timed to meet production.This is an exciting opportunity for a supply chain professional who enjoys working across multiple functions, solving problems, managing priorities and helping keep production moving. What You'll DoAs a Supply Chain Scheduler, you will help coordinate the flow of materials and components needed to support production. You'll work across departments and with suppliers to help ensure materials are available when they are needed and that potential obstacles are identified and addressed.Key Accountabilities
Managing incoming components and parts based on Bird-Johnson's master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirementWorking closely with suppliers to confirm material demand, availability, and delivery dates to support the Naval teamCoordinating interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping ordersWorking within Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) system to ensure data integrity and compliance of supplier commitments
What You BringWe're looking for someone who can bring strong organization, communication, follow-through and supply chain fundamentals to a cross-functional manufacturing environment.Basic Requirements
2+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing, or a degree.Must be able to sit for long periods of time and feel comfortable working the manufacturing floor when necessaryIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen
