Supply Chain Associate
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Lead, Supervisor, Manager, or Director, the Supply Chain Associate performs a variety of duties across Receiving, Inventory & Distribution, Mail Room, and Courier Services. The individual will be cross-trained in these functional areas based on business needs and is expected to follow established procedures while maintaining quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inventory
Receive, inspect, and process incoming supplies and equipment.
Verify shipments and report damaged or missing items.
Accurately stock inventory in designated storage locations.
Perform inventory replenishment using PAR and Kanban (two-bin) systems.
Scan Kanban bins to generate replenishment requests.
Pick and replenish stock accurately.
Maintain clean and organized inventory areas.
Rotate stock, remove expired items, and address overstock.
Pick supplies for requisition orders and urgent requests.
Ensure patient-chargeable supplies are properly labeled and documented.
Distribution & Courier
Deliver supplies and equipment to various departments following established routes.
Prioritize urgent, overnight, and temperature-sensitive deliveries.
Stage and distribute incoming freight for same-day delivery.
Operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, refueling, and basic maintenance coordination.
Maintain delivery logs, mileage records, and shipment documentation.
Process internal returns and coordinate pickups with delivery carriers.
Mail Room Operations
Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
Prepare and meter outgoing mail and packages.
Process returned and unidentified mail.
Maintain required documentation and obtain delivery signatures.
Ensure adequate postage supplies and coordinate mail equipment maintenance.
Systems & Documentation
Utilize handheld scanners and computer systems for receiving, inventory management, stock transfers, returns, and shipment tracking.
Process inventory transactions accurately using supply chain management systems.
Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and meet productivity goals.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Comfortable pushing supply carts and handling inventory.
Ability to lift and move boxes and supplies as required.
Contract Details
13-week contract.
Local candidates only (must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility).
In-person interview required.
Hospital-provided scrubs.
