Supply Management Planner I - Supply ManagementMajor PurposePerforms the duties of a Supply Management Planner I. Communicates with suppliers on a day-to-day basis regarding schedule releases. Schedules requirements for purchased material such as economic order quantities, optimal inventory level, delivery and material replenishment. Responsible for the implementation of optimal logistics processes and the material management systems within the unit and for the logistic performance of the suppliers. Please contact your manager to get your complete job description.Major Duties" Execute, in a supply chain of low complexity, planning activities within a defined framework/system that mainly affect own organization/unit." Investigate incidents with suppliers or supplies and recommend actions in a timely manner to enable the delivery of the agreed services and supplies." Collect and collate information on the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers to provide solid market information to more senior colleagues for decision-making." Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and assist in identifying improvements." Gather and report on information on existing contract performance and provide it as input to the new contract process for negotiations/renegotiations." Perform routine inventory-control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records, following established inventory-control procedures." Support stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, and events." Specific Position Requirements: 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM OT hours may be required by Deere
Your Responsibilities
As a Supply Management Planner for JD WW Construction and Forestry located in Dubuque, IA, you ll communicate with suppliers regarding delivery plans and expedite direct materials to ensure production runs without disruption. In addition, you will:
Running supplier meetings to review delinquent orders and create acceptable delivery plansWork with Supply Management personnel to maintain supplier relationships, while monitoring, measuring, and defining corrective actions to improve supplier performanceContinuously analyze and resolve past due orders while proactively communicating supply issues to appropriate stakeholdersResolve shipping and receiving issues to ensure timely payment to suppliersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processesPlanners have an overarching goal to ensure all parts on their desk have delivery plans in place to ensure production needs are satisfied
