Supply Management Planner II - Supply ManagementMajor PurposePerforms the duties of a Supply Management Planner II. Manages the day- to-day performance and relationship of a group of suppliers for several assigned commodities to support factory operations. Works with the Supply Base to drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery.Major Duties" Execute, in a supply chain of low complexity, planning activities within a defined framework/system that mainly affect own organization/unit." Maintain day-to-day contact with business-critical suppliers and respond to complex incidents with suppliers or supplies/services to analyze performance and provide feedback on key supplier management indicators." Collect and collate information on the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers to provide solid market information to more senior colleagues for decision-making." Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and support in generating new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements." Gather and report on information on existing contract performance and provide it as input to the new contract process for negotiations/renegotiations." Manage inventory for a site or factory, with guidance when discrepancies or issues are identified, following existing procedures." Support stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, and events." Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Position Title: Supply Management Planner
Specific Position Requirements: Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
Hours: To be in the office by 7am est (6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm). Does have opportunity to work overtime
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Supply Management Planner forCommercial Products located in Grovetown, GA you will:" Communicate with suppliers daily regarding delivery schedules." Manage factory Hot Part Requests, Aged ASN s, Goods Receipt Compliance Issues and supplier delinquency recovery plans." Work with the Supply Management Specialist to maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers as well as monitor and improve supplier performance; measure the performance of the supplier and define corrective actions; may negotiate with suppliers to resolve short-term performance problems." Drive continuous improvement in terms of performance with the supply base, using Achieving Excellence process and criteria." Resolve shipping and receiving problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers." Gather and analyze data to ensure business objectives are being met." Schedule and expedite the delivery of purchased materials to support the production plan, including recommending premium logistic alternatives when appropriate, while serving as a key resource for company and factory logistics teams, unit operations, and suppliers as questions, concerns, or issues arise regarding logistical processes.
What Skills You Need (Required Skills/Experiences):" Understanding of Order Fulfillment process" Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation and conflict resolution" Knowledge of unit processes and operations" Ability to gather and analyze data" Must be willing to relocate domestically" Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of software, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences):" Previous supply management or planning experience in a manufacturing environment" Cross-functional experience in areas of material flow, logistics, operations, and supplier development" SAP Landscape Knowledge" Proficient in Tableau, PowerBI, and SharePoint
EducationA degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:" Degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology or Supply Management discipline or equivalent work experience
