Supply Yard Operations Associate

Team members will be performing customer service responsibilities by assisting customers in-store, on phone, or by delivery to fulfill their purchases. This team member will be interacting with customers on a day-to-day basis in a courteous manner. The team member will be reporting to the yard manager on any issues regarding the supply yard and for daily tasks.

The team member should be passionate about assisting customers with respect and common courtesy. He or she should be respectful to all of the supply yard equipment and treat it with care. The team member will be the face of our company, and our expectations are to provide professional service and to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our customers to feel respected and comfortable while being served by us. 

Currently looking for candidates available to work every Saturday & at least one day Monday-Friday every week.

$18 - $23 hourly

• Interact with customers on a daily basis, assist customers with orders or general questions, completing sales for deliveries, pickups, or special request orders, either on the phone or in person. 
• Operate the POS system to complete customer orders.
• Loading customer vehicles with the material purchased.
• Operate vehicles in a safe manner to deliver materials to customers efficiently. 
• Unload material on the customer's property in a proper manner, being cautious of any obstructions on the property that may cause damage to the vehicle or the customer's property.
• Inspect vehicles prior to deliveries to check for any issues that may prohibit proper vehicle operation, and clean out the beds of dump trucks thoroughly.
• Follow instructions for each delivery and read paperwork, keep vehicles and equipment clean at all times.
• Safely operate equipment to load bulk material onto customers’ personal vehicles.
• Be effective with time management so deliveries are completed in a timely manner and at the customer's request within reason.
• Assist with keeping track of various business records.
• Operating the POS to process orders and payments after training.
• Wear proper work clothing.
• Be at work on time.
• Work in inclement weather.
• Help out in other areas that may be needed.
• Maintain office and yard maintenance (clean, mow, debris removal, etc.)
• Assist vendors with unloading stock material if needed.
• Putting stock material away in its proper location.
• Keep track of records if needed.
• Properly fill out company forms when needed.
• Any other yard labor duties, for example, bag material, stack stone on pallets, etc.

• Experience in customer service, with a focus on providing courteous and professional interactions.
• Ability to operate a POS system efficiently after training, ensuring accurate order processing.
• Proven track record of safely operating vehicles and equipment for material delivery and loading.
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of deliveries and tasks.
• Capability to work effectively in various weather conditions, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail in inspecting vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are clean and operational.
• Ability to maintain organized records and complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, when required.

We are a Landscape Supply Yard offering materials to homeowners and local landscape contractors to fulfill their landscaping needs. Our customers can come to our location to pick up material, or we can deliver to their location. We strive to serve our customers with quality products and quality service.
