Position DescriptionPerforms a variety of clerical support functions for the Health Information Management team. Major ResponsibilitiesPrepares records for release of patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements

Maintains release of information and correspondence database

Analyzes and assembles records

Provides Quality Assurance/Improvement data gathering utilizing established criteria and data programs

Performs analysis of healthcare records for adequacy and completeness of documentation

Enters data into computer systems

Prepares birth certificates

Documents and transcribes reports

Answers the phone and routes calls as appropriate

Performs chart filing and retrieval functions

Education and/or ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required
