Job Description
PGS Worldwide is seeking an SMT Operator in Oldsmar, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The SMT Operator will support electronics manufacturing by working with surface mount technology processes, electronic schematics, Mil-Spec requirements, AOI inspection, and visual defect identification. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical documentation, and comfort working in a production environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand Mil-Specifications.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
- AOI inspection experience.
- Visual defect identification experience.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to take and pass a required medical exam.
Preferred Skills
- SMT knowledge.
- Experience with surface mount technology operations.
- Experience with electronics manufacturing, PCB inspection, circuit board inspection, visual inspection, AOI systems, defect detection, Mil-Spec documentation, schematics, production quality, and manufacturing inspection.
What You’ll Do
- Support surface mount technology production operations.
- Read and interpret Mil-Specifications and electronic schematics.
- Perform AOI inspection and visual defect identification.
- Inspect electronic assemblies and circuit boards for quality issues.
- Identify defects and support production quality requirements.
- Follow manufacturing documentation, procedures, and inspection standards.
- Support electronics production work in accordance with quality and process requirements.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Monday–Thursday.
- 5:00 AM–3:30 PM EST.
Pay
- $22.00–$24.00/hour
