Role Summary

As a Surgery Scheduler, you will coordinate appointment timing and patient communication so surgical services run smoothly and accurately. This entry-level, onsite full-time role supports providers and patients by managing schedules, documentation, and pre-visit coordination.

Key responsibilities include scheduling and confirming surgical appointments; collecting and verifying required information; preparing and updating calendars; coordinating with clinical staff on timing and room/resource needs; and maintaining accurate records in accordance with office procedures.

Required qualifications/skills:

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management

A Typical Workday

Your day begins by reviewing the upcoming surgical calendar, checking for changes, and prioritizing time-sensitive items. You’ll spend much of the day communicating with patients—answering scheduling questions, confirming dates, and helping them understand what to expect next—while keeping your workspace and task list organized. Between calls, you’ll update the schedule as new information arrives, coordinate timing adjustments, and ensure the day’s plan stays current. As the office pace shifts, you’ll stay focused on accuracy, document updates promptly, and close out the day by reconciling tomorrow’s schedule so the team starts prepared.
