Job Description
The purpose of this position is to transport patients, assist in preparing case set up, decontaminate instruments and rooms between cases, and assist in preparing and maintaining an environment which is safe for surgery.
The Surgical Assistant reports directly to the Department Director, O.R. Charge Nurse, and RNs. The Surgical Assistant has contact with patients of all ages, patient families, visitors, LRH employees, volunteers, administration, surgeons, dentists, students, and sales persons. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The Surgical Assistant must be able to follow instructions of licensed personnel, cooperate with others, and exercise initiative and judgement.

Compensation:
Hourly Wage Range: $17.48 - $24.09. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
Shifts
Day shifts, Monday - Friday, casual hours, 8-hour shifts.
