Job Description
4x9 hour days, On call rotation and weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and operating rooms before procedures
- Set up surgical trays and ensure all necessary tools and supplies are available
- Maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgery
- Count surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after procedures to ensure accuracy
- Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting incision sites
- Handle surgical specimens according to proper protocols
- Assist with applying dressings and transferring patients after surgery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the operating room
