Job Description
The Surgical Technician – General Surgery is responsible for supporting surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting surgeons and clinical teams during operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
- Set up operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Support circulating nurses and surgical team members
- Ensure proper handling and care of surgical specimens
- Maintain and troubleshoot OR equipment and instruments
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical procedures
Available Shifts
- Full-Time (36 hours/week) – Evening Shift
- Full-Time (40 hours/week) – Day Shift
- Part-Time (32 hours/week) – Variable Shift
- Part-Time (30 hours/week) – Evening Shift
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician Program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST – NBSTSA) – Required upon hire
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
