Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Surgical Technologist / Scrub Technologist / OR Tech. This is a 13 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Vail, CO(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: Weekly Gross Pay: $2,250.00(subject to completion of scheduled hours)• Contract Length: 13 weeks• Shift: Days – 4x8-hour shifts per week• Expected Hours: 32 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Use principles of aseptic practice in varying situations
Inspect sterile items for contamination before opening
Maintain sterility while opening sterile items for procedure
Anticipate the need for supplies and equipment
Check supplies for outdates, restock operating room, and order supplies to maintain adequate inventory
Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to the surgeon
Help apply dressings and prepare/preserve specimens for testing
Operate sterilizers and run tests to validate sterilization of surgical instruments

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech / OR Tech
Current Surgical Technologist certification required (CST or equivalent)
Current BLS certification required (AHA)
Active Colorado state license required (must be currently active)
Holiday coverage not required
Locals are accepted – no radius restriction
