You’ll act as a lead technologist and resource for advanced surgical procedures — including robotics, total joints, neuro/spine, vascular, and burn — while mentoring peers and ensuring the highest standards of aseptic technique and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support less experienced surgical technologists, promoting skill development and consistency.

  • Collaborate with perioperative nurses, anesthesia teams, and surgeons to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

  • Uphold safety standards, infection control protocols, and equipment readiness for every procedure.

  • Participate in on-call rotation with a 30-minute response time.

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST – NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C – NCCT)

  • Minimum 1 year of OR technologist experience in a high-acuity setting

  • Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

  • Proficiency in wire handling and vascular hybrid room techniques

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of multi-specialty operating room experience

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as preceptor or mentor in surgical settings

  • Advanced cardiovascular or robotic surgery certification
